Down the way where the nights are gay
and the sun shines daily on the mountain's top
I took a trip on a sailing ship
and when I reached Jamaica I made a stop.

Graduation Ceremony 2006
Graduation Ceremony Royal Albert Hall
It gives me great pleasure to extend to you an invitation to attend the Annual Award Presentation Ceremony to be held in the Royal Albert Hall, on Wednesday, 22 March 2006.
The Annual Award Presentation Ceremony is a memorable occasion especially for parents and guests and I do hope that you will be able to attend. The ceremony will be preceded by a short concert of music given by the various University ensembles including Chorus. At the end of the ceremony various bars will be open around the building, and more musical entertainment will be provided by University artistes.
If you are unable to attend please let us know so that arrangements can be made for the delivery of your certificate.

‘음란서생’의 미술은 철저한 고증에 의해 창조됐다. 김대우 감독이 조근현 미술감독에게 주문한 것도 ‘최대한의 고증’이었다. 빼어난 영상미를 인정받은 영화 ‘장화 홍련’ ‘형사’의 미술감독이기도 한 조근현 감독은 “요즘 사극미술의 트렌드는 한마디로 ‘고증을 심도 깊게 해보니, ‘조선왕조 500년’류의 고증은 잘못됐더라’는 것”이라며 “근래 나온 사학 및 미학과 교수들의 논문이나 연구를 살펴보면 조선의 미술은 지금 눈높이에 맞추려면 오히려 억눌러야 할 정도의 과감한 색감과 디자인들이 상당수”라고 말했다. 종전 TV에서 방영돼 전 국민이 보고 즐기던 조선의 모습은 대부분 임진왜란 이후 헐벗고 굶주린 상태의 것으로 염색하지 못한 복식과 꾸미지 못한 인테리어 일색이라는 것이다. 조근현 감독은 “’형사’의 특정 색감이나 디자인은 퓨전 그 자체였지만 ‘음란서생’의 미술은 조선시대 옷감의 염색기술이 발달하지 않아 현대적인 해석을 약간 가미했을 뿐 세트나 의상, 소품 대부분 고증에 의해 완성했다”고 말했다.
‘음란서생’의 미술에는 전체 제작비의 40%, 약 20억원에 달하는 예산이 투입됐다. 극중 시전거리 세트는 서울종합촬영소에 세워졌는데 사람들로 시끌벅적한 낮과 음란소설을 구하기 위해 사람들이 은밀히 찾아드는 밤이 전혀 다른 느낌을 주도록 상점마다 양철로 덧문을 만들어 다는 새로운 시도를 했다. 또 윤서(한석규)와 정빈(김민정)의 위험한 만남이 이루어지는 선화사엔 수천 개의 연등을 설치했고 주인공들이 음란소설을 통해 겪게 되는 내면의 급격한 변화는 밝음과 어둠을 극명하게 대조해 표현했다. 극중 윤서와 광헌(이범수)의 최고의 역작 ‘흑곡비사’가 은밀히 제작, 배급되는 장소인 유기전에는 시가 1억 원어치의 유기가 공수됐다.
‘음란서생’에 등장하는 고품격 의상 역시 눈길을 사로잡는다. ‘혈의 누’‘형사’ 등의 의상을 맡았던 정경희씨가 200여 벌에 달하는 옷을 직접 디자인하고 제작했다. 특히 눈에 띄는 건 정빈(김민정)의 과감한 색감이 돋보이는 화려한 의상. 정빈은 검정색 당의, 붉은색 원삼, 엷은 분홍빛 의상 등으로 갈아입으며 상황과 심리를 변주한다.
